The object of the Get Together's is for the society members to meet each other face to face and exchange their research and ideas.  We also considered various means of communicating with other researchers, together with a demonstration of Genealogy Resources on the Internet.

We also try to include visits to various places of genealogical interests.

We exchange information on all facets of our research e.g., family tree programs, compiled databases. The idea was to bring along photocopies of family trees and copies of other research material to swap with fellow researchers.

Researchers also had the chance to make enquiries about their own specific areas of interest.

The meetings started in 1998 and run biannually between Australia and the UK.
